How it Works

The Self-Paced option of the QuickBooks Certified User program is easy and convenient, allowing you to prepare at your own place and at your own pace. Here is how it works:

Step 1-Prepare for the Certification Exam

Complete the self paced Mastering QuickBooks CD/DVD. This comprehensive QuickBooks training covers the exact same content as the live class. However, you can work at your own pace. Spend a few minutes here and there, or sit down and complete the whole course...the choice is yours! The content is specifically designed to cover the topics you will be tested on and need to know to successfully pass the Certification Exam. The CD/DVD includes PDF copies of two comprehensive workbooks which you can use to prepare for the exam. For specific topics covered, click on the "Topics" tab.

Step 2-Complete the on-line Certification Exam

When you finish the self-paced class, you are eligible to take the Certification Exam. When you order the self paced training you will receive an email (within 3 days from ordering) with instructions on taking the test. This email includes instructions on how to find a testing center near you and a 100 question practice test to help you prepare. After you take the practice test, you can see where you need to review topics you don't know well. The test voucher you receive includes 1 free retake in the event you don't pass. When you pass the exam, Certiport will issue an electronic Intuit QuickBooks User Certificate that confirms you have been officially certified. Note: Some testing centers may charge a fee to sit for an exam (not to exceed $25).
