History  

Below are a few of the highlights and milestones in Real World Training's history:

• 2007 First Mastering QuickBooks Online Seminar delivered
• 2006 "Getting Started with QuickBooks Point of Sale" is released

• 2006 First Mastering QuickBooks for Contractors/Construction live seminar

• 2006 Real World Training completes its first online training course for Intuit: "Certified End User" 

• 2005 "Mastering Microsoft Word for QuickBooks Users" is released

• 2004 "Mastering Microsoft Excel for QuickBooks Users" is released

• 2003 Our first UK live seminar.  We also release the "Mastering QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions" training. 

• 2002 We added several new CD-ROM training products. First, we released a second Seminar-in-a-Box product, "QuickBooks for Power Users." Next, we completed a Canadian version of "Seminar-in-a-Box." In May, we released our second industry-specific training product, "QuickBooks for Not-for-Profits".

• 2001 "Seminar-in-a-Box", the CD-ROM version of Mastering QuickBooks Software, is released. In August, we began training Canadian QuickBooks users. In September we added a new seminar, "QuickBooks for Power Users." This seminar was designed for intermediate and advanced QuickBooks users.

• 2000 "QuickBooks for Construction", our first industry specific training, is released

• 1999 We released our first CD-ROM based training product "Instant Accounting." We also released the first version of our Mastering QuickBooks Software seven volume video series. This video series taught the same material as the Mastering QuickBooks Software seminar.

• 1998 We developed a special seminar for accountants called "QuickBooks for Accounting Professionals." This course was designed for accountants and consultants that support end-users. We offered this course from 1998 to 2000.

• 1998 Intuit (the maker of QuickBooks) awarded Real World Training the Official Seal of Endorsement. This was in response to customers who were not sure where to find the best QuickBooks training. Intuit reviewed the available training and decided that we offered the highest quality training. Eight years later, we proudly carry this endorsement.

• 1996 We released our first two training videos. Since that time, we have sold thousands of training videos and CDs and DVDs focused on helping the QuickBooks user.

• 1996 "Mastering QuickBooks Software" seminar is created. This 2-day seminar, which we still offer, teaches basic to intermediate users how to best set up and use QuickBooks software. Since the first seminar in Dallas, Texas, we have taught more than 475,000 customers how to use QuickBooks.

• 1994-1995 Real World Training decides to exclusively work with QuickBooks. Our first QuickBooks training manuals are written.

• 1992 Real World Training was founded by David J. O'Brien, CPA.
